About: Rotherham District General Hospital

(as the patient),

From the onset may I say that my latest stay in A5, B2 on Jan 15th- 20th was the best treatment and care I have experienced in Rotherham District General Hospital. I have been in other hospitals in this area and must admit that Rotherham was I think at the bottom of the league table before my recent stay. I think Hallamshire Hospital is tops with Rotherham.

Weston Park chemotherapy out patient treatment ward is absolutely brilliant.

I had both kneed replaced in Rotherham, about 12 months apart, the main bit of poor care on these occasions was that I thought the night staff on my ward were lacking in respect and attitude. I was going to complain but sadly I never did. The food in A5, B2 was better than last time but I could never drink the tea! Most meals I ate as well as I could with my poor appetite, the soups were excellent, salads and generally a big improvement. The only breakdown on menus is the first day and a ½ where you have to rely on other peoples choice, which I can hardly see to be avoided.

I would like to thank various staff members whose names I cannot remember. One lady (excellent) who provided my medicar home was totally honest and on time with the transport and information. I cannot do any more than to say a big thank you to A5 and crew, from dinner ladies to top people. Thank you once again, my honest opinion is for you to divulge.
