What I liked

nothing...everything about my dads care was disgusting

What could be improved

they seriously need to take lessons in patient care...my mum was a patient in may last year...she was leet on a trolley in and e after she had a stroke for 15 and a half hours...she didnt even get a pillow to lean on and I had to roll my jacket up...when she was admitted they didnt care that she had an eating disorder and never helped feed or even provide the flavours of ensure drinks that we told tham repeadedly she would drink and they wouldnt let me on the ward to help give her food...needless to say she died...my dad has had the unfortunate experience in there this wwekend...he has dementia...they wouldnt listen when we told them that staying overnight would serriously disturb him and that he could be treated i his nursing home...he had had a fall and was xrayed and they said he was dizzy because he had an infection...by the next day he was totally disoriented just left on a bed right next to the nurses station...at visiting time with no blankets over him and no trousers on...just a pad stuffed between his legs and sum net pants loosly holding it in place...it was a mixed ward and visitors were all walking past his bed...it was disgusting and if they can do that when they know his relatives are coming in well GOD KNOWS WHAT GOES ON WHEN ITS A CLOSED WARD...my father would die if he knew what was going on...and the biggest joke is that over his bed was a sign saying dignity and respect at all times

Anything else?

when dad was in this weekend one man was pleading for the toilet...and nobody even looked at him ...ll patients with dementia need is reassurance...and yes they may need that reasuurance over and over again and nurses are busy but a few kind words to reassure here and there as they walk past would go a long way
