"Midwives were fantastic"

About: Watford General Hospital

I'd like to leave a review to the midwives and doctors at Triage, delivery Suite and Catherine Ward. I was treated with the utmost respect. Felt supported and looked after. The relationship they formed with me was just incredible. Their attention and knowledge made me feel so safe and secure dispite my many anxiety attacks due to fear of giving birth!

Thank you for everything you did for me and my husband. You made a day I was dreading something I can look back fondly on even tho the birth plan did not go to plan!

The only negatives are the toilets were not always available and not always very clean. And there was a sense of short staff in the units which put the midwives under pressure. This did not affect the way they worked. We just felt the hospital needs to support their midwives more. One midwife was left alone in Triage manning the phone and the drop ins leaving her unable to take a break. And carpark is so expensive!
