What I liked
The ward staff were truly wonderful, patient and very caring
What could be improved
Doctor's communication post-op
Anything else?
Generally disappointed with the hospital service, was seen in outpatients for a hand injury, and was seen by the rudest doctor who had little or no 'bedside manner'.
Admitted to ward with no issues, all the ward staff were lovely and welcoming. Taken to theatre by the ward sister who was nothing but reassuring. Got to theatre and one of the nurses just left me STANDING there (Not offering me a seat/trolley e.t.c) whilst she made a huge (& somewhat unnecessary) fuss by the fact that a letter 'R' looked too much like a 'L' in my notes, despite the affected limb being clearly marked and heavily bandaged!! (Very unnerving to say the least!)
In recovery, Sister was brilliant, keeping me laughing and chatting and joking with porter on way back to ward.
Was not seen by a doctor post op which was highly irritating, despite ward staff trying to contact on several occasions, and there seemed to be no notes regarding discharge on my file.
"The ward staff were truly wonderful, ..."
