I had my podiatry appointment yesterday. The appointment was good and Becky is lovely. I usually have an appointment every 8 weeks. 8 weeks is a little too long but I manage. But yesterday I was told my next appointment will be for June. I was worried because this will be far too long. I didn’t take the appointment because I was told that there will be drop in sessions on Fridays that I can go to and just hope that there isn’t a long queue. Although now I wish I had taken the appointment in June. I called to ask if I can still have it but nobody was answering and I was worried it would be costing me a fortune to be on the phone so I hung up after ten minutes.
I can’t get a private appointment because they won’t see you if you are being seen already by the NHS, plus even if I could, it’s very expensive.
My husband said he could try and cut my nails for me but we are told we can’t cut our nails at home, because with being on warfarin it can be dangerous and my husband is a little shakey so it would be dangerous.
I went to a meeting recently for everyone to give their opinions about the service but nothing seems to change. I know it all comes down to money and not enough staff, but I don’t know what to do.
