"Day Surgery (Urology)"

I was at Darlington Memorial Hospital DC Day Surgery (Urology) for a minor operation. Prior to the operation, I talked to the assigned nurse for my stay, the surgeon and the anaesthetist. They put my mind at rest by clearly explaining what would happen during the operation and they clearly answered all my questions. I found Ward 11 and the operating theatre to be clean, comfortable and well managed. The operation and recovery went well. The surgeon came round afterwards to see how I was and discussed what they had found and performed. The nurse gave me lots of information on wound management, pain control and advice on what I should not do for a while. All very useful and clearly explained. Pain control was excellent following the advice given. The wound has healed well and I am a lot more comfortable now.

I found all the staff to be very friendly, efficient, and concerned with any my needs. Communication with the staff is excellent. Everything seemed to be well organised. I could not have wished for a better place for my operation and I am happy to recommend it to anybody else. Many thanks to the hardworking, professional and friendly staff.
