"Ashbrook: inpatient"

About: Lynfield Mount Hospital

I got admitted because I have bad depression I tried hanging myself my partner got me down just in time if he didn't come I would have been dead- the police brought me up- they said they couldn't help me, I was desperate. I had to stay in the cells on suicide watch, the next day crisis team came to see me and they took me to lynfield mount -

I was anxious and scared I just wanted help, this hospital has disgusted me.

They said I would get a care navigator I got given one but never saw them - they said I would get a "plan" this would be shared with my family as well, I was in there about 10 days and not once heard a "plan". I also got promised "support", if support is telling you to "* off" then well done 5 stars, whilst I was here I saw patients getting swore at, laughed at, doors slamming in patients faces... It's disgusting! "Professional" no I don't think so.

My doctor called me selfish when I was there, no I'm not selfish I am desperate for help! I discharged myself because I decided I'm not going to get treated like this! A nurse came and said you okay, I replied no, they walked away... "Caring"? The same person sat down an said oh I'm knackered! I said what from sitting down all day? Because every staff member was always in the office doing paper work apart from when they did the checks- how can you do paperwork with not having any contact with your patients!

I could go on and on with the complaints what scares me is that some people don't have the mental capacity to actually realise how they are been treat it's shocking to say this helps mental health! It's made me worse!

Don't get me wrong few staff we're brilliant but overall it's a real big wander how this place is still open, I mean look at all the reviews! They are so true on how bad this place is, I don't see why people work in this job role if they don't care! Just put yourself in a patients position would you like to be treat like a animal?!
