"4 years later..."

About: Hereford County Hospital

Having left a review on this page in June 2012, I received a response by the Trust *today*! I know that long waiting times are reported to be at crisis level, but that is stretching it!!

I am saddened to say that since my last review, 4 years ago, the care I have received from the Diabetes Centre and its staff (though obviously not all of them) has gone dramatically downhill. The consultant I have had appointments with most recently is rude, abrupt and condescending. They exhibit no personal relationship skills, no 'bedside manner', no empathy, no understanding and no motivational skills. Just criticism, rudeness and a judgemental attitude. Even the role of the DSNs is losing the human element. You never seem to see the same person so no relationship or trust is built. None of the staff seem to have an understanding of the issues I present to them, so my faith in the system and the hospital staff has gone severely downhill.

On behalf of Wye Valley NHS Trust I would like to firstly apologise for responding to your comment from four years ago.

The system threw up this message randomly with recent comments.

I would also like to thank you for your bringing your concerns to our attention.

I can confirm that these have been passed to the relevant staff.

If you wish to discuss these in more detail please contact the Patient Experience Team on 01432 372986 and we will be happy to follow these up for you.

With many thanks.

Patient Experience Team.
