"My Mother's Alzheimer's"

About: Springfield University Hospital (London)

(as a relative),

My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's around six years ago. It was a terrifying time filled with worry and fear.

As a very small family we are enormously grateful for all the support and fantastic advice we have received from John, my Mother's community psychiatric nurse from Springfield Hospital. He has been a constant over the last few years and I really don't know what we would have done without his help.

As my mother's illness has worsened he has been there to offer practical advice and reassurance and has been so helpful in explaining what is happening and what we can do to support her and her illness. We are so thankful for all his support!

Dear Tara and Julia,

my name is Jane and I am one of the Patient Experience Leads for the Trust. Many thanks for taking the time to share feedback on your experience and thank you for your kind words about John and the support you and your mother have received.

I have passed your feedback onto John and the rest of the team and am so pleased to hear that your experience has been a positive one.

Kind regards

Jane
