"Excellent Clinical Care"

My husband was admitted in January 2015 for a bone marrow transplant following chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukaemia. He was treated in isolation for three months with chemo followed by the transplant and came home in April. He has since been recovering and attending regular clinics for tests, clinical trial work, check ups and bone marrow biopsies. The care was incredible, excellent at every level and from every person. He continues to be an outpatient and we are always pleased to meet the people - - the many doctors, nurses, consultants who have helped him to get to this stage.

In particular, the specialist haematology nurses have been a lifeline for me as well as him, and the senior clinicians are the best there are. Thanks to you all.

PS if I could have a slight moan it would be on the food side - when you are going through chemo and not very hungry or feeling sick, food is important and the food for cancer patients in completely inedible. I brought food in every day bar the first day as my husband could not eat it at all, and he is not a fussy eater!
