"Unbelievable"

About: Newham General Hospital

I attended the A&E department over the weekend due to my throat pain. I was recovering from a cold and had problems with my throat. I could've gone to my GP but I didn't want to wait until Monday as I was worried it was something quiet serious. The receptionists were fine they got all my details and everything, but when I was being assessed by a nurse, they were so rude and patronising. The nurse was being sarcastic in a very rude way. I had to be seen by a doctor because I said to the nurse that my tongue felt a little painful too, as they was turning away I could see that they rolled their eyes. When I was seen by the doctor, they did all these tests n me and gave me medication, but while being observed there was a problem with my oxygen level and breathing, so I had to be kept in for further observations and medication. The staff on the ward I was admitted to were absolutely amazing and kept me up to date with everything and what they were doing. Even the doctor in A&E was amazing. The only downfall was that nurse who triaged me, their behaviour and attitude was unacceptable. This nurse needs to be spoken t about how they speak to patients.
