In 2014 I took my daughter to the GP as she had cut down her calorie intake to 500 per day. She was referred to our local CAMHS team for support. At first she made progress, they then reduced contact in May 2015. We were told that the clinicians we were seeing only worked term time and we would get limited support during the summer holidays.
My daughter relapsed, I asked for an emergency appointment we got support again. By Christmas 2015 she was very unwell and I suggested a change of team, She was given a new clinician who only wanted to work with her not me.
The dietitian we saw at first went on leave we got a new one in the summer when we had the relapse and they then saw us for the last time in Jan with a promise of the one coming back from leave giving us an appointment first week in February.....we are still waiting! Plus clinician cancelled appointment with my daughter last week and said she'd get another ....we still await one. So it's six weeks since she has seen a dietitian and been weighed and 3 weeks since she has seen a clinician. I have emailed twice asking for appointments with none being offered, My daughter is young, mentally extremely unwell and it feels like no one cares.......where do I go now? ? ?
