"waiting for 1 h"

This morning I've visited the urgent care as my 2 year old son had really bad temperature.

on arrival the receptionist book us in and told us to wait until Dr was available. I was the only person in the waiting room and i still had to wait 1 h to be seen by a dr. after 30 min of waiting i've asked the receptionist- it is going to be long- they then reply : Dr is filling in some documents and will be with you shortly- really? i had to wait for the dr to finish documents when they could seen us and then finish off? after 40 min i've told the receptionist that while i understand the waiting time is 2-3 h when is busy, but how can i wait 40 min with a 2 year old when it wasn't busy at all.

after 1 h of waiting my son was seen by a dr but they told us to go and see our gp....all waiting for nothing
