"I was admitted with a serious ..."

About: Cheltenham General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was admitted with a serious condition which was swiftly diagnosed and treated allowing me to make a full recovery. The care that I received was consistently excellent and the attitude of the staff was first rate.

What could be improved

I would have appreciated more details on what would happen after I was released from the hospital.

Anything else?

I am very impressed by the dedication of the medical staff who were involved in my treatment.

Many thanks for your comments, we always strive to provide the best possible care for all patients.

Your comments about the information you would have liked on discharge from hospital are timely and are similar to those we have heard in the past from other patients. As a consequence there is a programme of work within the hospital which is currently looking at how we can improve the discharge of patients , and this includes the kind of inofrmation provided as well as aspects of discharge such as the support needed when people leave hospital.
