I attended the walk in facility at APH on Sunday 28th Feb 2016 at approx 08:00 hrs.
I was then referred to A&E with suspected 'Quinsy' (closing over/infected throat).
I had been in extreme pain and discomfort for about 48 hours, I was at the point of total exasperation.
I am writing to commend the Drs actions that helped me on that morning, it may not seem much but just to get relief from the pain I was in meant a lot to me.
The Dr. swiftly diagnosed it as severe case of tonsillitis and provided me with the necessary medicines and sprays.
I am fortunate not to have used A&E before here but the Dr that advised/reassured me was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable.
Today I am already feeling a lot better and would be obliged if you could pass on my thanks to the way in which I was dealt with. In a time when our NHS services are stretched to the limit all of the staff yesterday were a credit to their profession.
