"Orthoptics"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

There is a stigma attached to children with a squint and it is quite upsetting for a parent, and having been referred to the Orthoptics department at the Pilgrim was worrying my son. The last time I was in a hospital was when I gave birth, and being aware of all the bad press associated with the NHS I was a little apprehensive of what to expect. On arrival everyone was so nice I cannot fault the all staff involved they are all so nice. The person who examined my son was so helpful they explained everything so clearly and recommended patching.

Getting him to keep the patch on will be the real challenge.
