What I liked
The staff were superb - highly professional, very conscientious and extremely caring. They answered my many questions in an honest and non-patronising manner - and with humour!
The facilities were excellent and the standard of cleaning was high. The patients' internet room on the third floor was a real luxury!
What could be improved
Nothing could have been improved during my week's stay in the hospital. However, it would have been helpful to have had some contact with a person pre-admission if only to give information about what to expect from one's stay and what to bring etc. It didn't really affect me as I have been a patient in other hospitals many times but for a first timer it might help to reassure them.
Anything else?
Despite having a slight hospital phobia, I am delighted to say that my experience here was an extremely positive one. I would recommend anyone needing cardio-thoracic surgery to come here. It's wonderful!
