"Collective Voice Event, Chester"

About: Collective Voice: North West Standing Conference

(as other),

Collective Voice (North West) is an initiative to establish and develop a network of service users and carers with an interest in making a difference for mental health in the North West. Funding for this has come from the North West Mental Health Improvement Partnership and Rethink and the University of Central Lancashire are supporting the development of the network. Our third public event was held in Chester yesterday (21st january 2010). This message is first to say a big thanks to all who took part for their enthusiasm and passionate commitment to having their say about mental health and hopefully contributing to changing the mental health scene for the better. We are also interested in people coming to the Patient Opinion website to havie a say in these discussions The aim for the day was to discuss and debate the ambition and scope of Collective Voice and give thought to how best to achieve these ambitions. We will be working to collate and write up the contributions of the workshop particpants and publish these shortly on our website: www.collectivevoicenw.org.uk. Please tell us what you think about what the ambition of a regional group like Collective Voice should be & give us your views on how such a group should organise itself to deliver on these ambitions. You can do this through the pages of Patient Opinion or visit us directly on our website. We also welcome feedback from anyone who attended the event, especially if they wish to give us further details about their views. Looking forward to hearing from you.
