"Palliative care of my parent"

The staff, from cleaners to nurses to consultants, made my one of my parents last few days a period of peacefulness and dignity.

Their care, attention and sincere empathy touched me with their thoughtfulness and respect for both my parent and the members of my family.

Despite all the obvious pressures and demands on their time we always felt happy.

I cannot stress how much this meant to us all.

I only hope that in similar circumstances in the future I will have such an experience.
