"My dad's care was excellent"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / General surgery

(as a relative),

On Friday mu dad was going in for an operation to remove cancer from his bladder. As they administered the general he had a heart attack. After 4 shocks and countless other things he was put on CCU. Lots of machines, words, tubes etc. Loads of tests. Echocardiogram, angiogram, stent. Today my dad came home. Lots of meds. Lots of support at home. The teams from pre op care, theatre, recover, rhesus, ccu, catheter suite, nurses, consultants, professor's were amazing and brilliant. I thankyou all from the bottom of my heart ♥. We now have to wait for the "alien" to be removed in a few months time.

Response from Medway NHS Foundation Trust

Thank you for taking the time to offer us your feedback.

I was sorry to read that the planned surgery had to be post poned due to your fathers heart attack. It was reassuring to know that all was done to help him. Once his health returns and he is fit for surgery then he can resume a full and active life.
