"Itu/ward 10 good hope hospital"

Having just spent 30 days on both Itu but mainly ward 10, I can definitely say the care was of the highest standard at all times. The nurses do not stop all shift and are friendly caring and approachable to both patients and relatives. The level of professionalism even when they are sometimes being unfairly abused by both relatives and staff was impeccable and eye opening.

I never saw the nurses not run off their feet but there was always a smile and a personal friendly word for each patient. Most of the nurses went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and cared for and to watch the level of individualised care by all members of staff from hostesses and housekeepers to the consultants.

It was interesting to watch how well the team worked together and dealt with negative comments being made when they had gone that extra mile for some patients to the point I ended up defending them as I wasn't sure what else they could of done, I just wanted to write to say how excellent the care was, how friendly and caring the staff were and how professional they were in dealing with difficult situations.

The staffing was sometimes short but this never changed the nurses attitude towards putting their patients first and I cannot speak highly enough of all members of staff on there that work together to make an excellent team.
