"Terrible experience"

Following advice from 111 I took my girlfriend to the urgent care centre. after an initial consultation she was told to wait to see a doctor.

Sat in the waiting room for almost 5 hours only to be told that as her condition was "not life threatening" she would not been seen.

Had we been told this at the start then perhaps the experience would not have been so traumatic, however almost 5 hours in a dirty uncomfortable waiting room, when you are seriously ill, is unacceptable. I have no idea why they treat people like this, it could be avoided quite easily.
