"Friendly, accommodating and caring staff"

About: London Independent Hospital

I was referred by the NHS for day surgery and got a date only three weeks later. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attended to me closely all the way through. They knew my name the moment I walked in, provided me with all the information and direction I needed and made me feel entirely at ease.

The anaesthegiologists were very caring and must have done an excellent job considering I was up and happy within two hours after waking from general anaesthetic. I was even given my own room in case I wasn't feeling well and wished to spend the night.

Post-op care was just as good, they accommodated my request for strong painkillers as I have very low pain threshold and so far I've experienced minimal discomfort despite rectal surgery recovery being infamously painful. I'm so happy overall.

As some other reviewers have mentioned, the receptionists can be strangely remote in contrast with the medical staff but I hardly had to deal with them so it didn't bother me.
