"What is a patient supposed to do all day long..."

My 91 year old mother with you for a week. Has nothing to occupy the long daytime hours. Why on earth can't you at least supply a tv and set of headphones so that the stay is not so torturous. Being in hospital away from home is hard enough as a young person but for someone in their "twilight" years there could be more respect than expecting them to stare into space or at the ceiling every day.
