Let me first say in my humble opinion this place is not a centre of excellence for intermediate care. I don't know who came up with that blurb and I am sure that is the aim, but they are a loooong way from that. When someone looses weight at a phenomenal rate after being admitted to hospital with a urine infection and then Rossall for rehab, and rehab stops because its the weekend, and the patient can't shower because there are no staff to watch them, and the food is classed as horrid (by 3 colleagues in the ward) and they play guess the flavour of the soup today? and the patient is allegedly put on high alert for walking round the bed on their own and yet due to be discharged home within a couple of days?? believe me there is something drastically wrong and this is not rehab.
Now for a good bit there is one shining star at Rossall who is kind, hard working and actually has some common sense.
I am sad for the patients that this member of staff is leaving but really happy for them that they will be part of a forward thinking hospital and team and will be appreciated. I think this member of staff will go on to bigger and better things and I hope they will. Thank you for all you have done whilst at Rossall form the patients that would tell you themselves if they could.
"another review to ignore"
