"The ward staff were caring and ..."

About: Northwick Park Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The ward staff were caring and well meaning but clearly overworked.

The palliative care team were very special people. What training is it that they receive? Can you give it to everyone?

What could be improved

Give the staff more time and communication skill training

Thank you for your feedback, and we were pleased to learn that you found the palliative care team to be special people. The palliative care team receive specialised training and provide valuable support and advice for ward staff. The Trust is committed to providing high quality and responsive care and appreciates the importance of effective communication, and we are currently running a programme of training for staff called 'We Care', which includes emphasis on communication skills.
