Having suffered abdominal pain. My wife called out one of the doctors from our surgery. The doctor arrived in a short time after an examination suggested I should go to hospital a.s.a.p. and even called an ambulance. I thought the doctor gave an excellent service and their diagnosis was spot on. Having arrived at the hospital after a short wait I was seen to and had various tests to pinpoint the problem. Eventually I had a scan which confirmed the Doctors suspicions that I had a burst appendix. I was then given an operation to remove appendix and other muck which had got there after appendix burst. from then on I was in a ward and looked after by the nurses and was quite amazed at how much much work these nurses do. On the go all day and from what I could see without a lunch break. These nurses and indeed the doctors and surgeons work very hard without complaining. Thank you to the doctors from Steyning health center and all involved in my health at Worthing hospital. My words are not enough for your help and concerns and support many thanks to you all.
The only thing I could possibly comment against was the fact it appears that every department was totally understaffed. Which is a shame when it puts pressure on the good work that all these people do.
