My son was admitted to Stoke Mandeviile with suspected pneumonia back in January and naturally both I and my wife were in pieces with worry. My son is 15 months old and this was the first time he had to go to hospital.
The care and support provided by all at the hospital was amazing, from the cleaners, chefs and nurses to the doctors. All were very welcoming and chatty and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. My son ended up staying in care for the week being checked every two hours. The nurses were very comforting when on lates and caring for my son.
What was really impressive was how the nurses do 12hr+ shifts and still managed to take the time out to talk with you and raise a smile.
My son subsequently got better and we took him home on the saturday.
There are no other words to describe how thankful both I and my wife are, to the care provided by everyone on Ward 3.
Amazing, caring, supportive and lifesavers.
