"heart attack - treatment"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

fantastic care and treatment (stent fitted) by all, especially my consultant doc.

the nursing staff were caring and friendly and had to put up with a number of farting and coughing male patients. sleep was impossible even after taking a sleeping tablet!

My first night on the emergency ward very sad as the old lady in the bed next to me passed away. the emergency trauma team were very quick to react,

Dear Mr Shimmons

Thank you for giving your recent visit to our cardiology department 5 stars for the “fantastic care and treatment” you had from all the staff while having a stent fitted.

We appreciate that it can be difficult to sleep in hospital, especially in a busy acute ward but we are constantly looking at new ways to help reduce noise levels during the night.

We are sorry to hear that your first night in the emergency ward was difficult and upsetting with the passing of a female patient. It is always upsetting when a patient passes away but I hope you found the quick reaction of the trauma team to be sensitive and caring to the needs of all those around.

We hope you a speedy recovery from your surgery and wish you well for the future

Regards

Sue Mellor
