What could be improved
I was waiting for my dating scan at Maternity Services for 40 minutes, where several patients who arrived after me were called for a scan before me. When I enquired at the reception if I was still being seen, the receptionist said they would check, and after a few minutes told me that I would be next to be seen. Obviously errors do happen, but unfortunately no explanation and no apology were offered. In addition after my scan when I enquired at the reception if I could have the picture of my baby, I was told that it might be too late and that I should have told the scanographer earlier, where I was not told anything about how to get the pictures when I arrived.
While I was waiting, the receptionist loudly discussed personal information about the patients, where other patients could clearly overhear everything. being said.
This experience has left me feeling very upset, while I was also physically uncomfortable being made to wait for 40 minutes with the full bladder and I am considering making a formal complaint.
Anything else?
A more courteous attitude with a simple apology would have been very welcomed.
