I did not receive any correspondence inviting me for a 12 week pregnancy scan despite my midwife sending a referral. In the end I managed to obtain a date by calling QA but it was for 2 days time and my partner was unable to get time off work at such short notice for this very important and emotional appointment. Furthermore, the day of the scan, I received a letter telling me it had been the day before.This letter turned out to contain the wrong date and time, and quoted the wrong telephone number. This poor administration (which differed from the excellent service I received when I finally had the scan) caused a lot of unnecessary anxiety.
