"Not a helpful appointment or experience"

I had really high hopes for my appointment with Bristol Dental Hospital, I have only just discovered the feedback review option otherwise I would have submitted a review a while ago.

Sadly, despite believing that this hospital is something of a flagship for dental care my experience was really poor. I waited ages for an appointment and then had to wait many months for a very small and unhelpful report.

I have a number of problems with my teeth and the person I saw did not seem very interested what is actually happening to my teeth, they had clearly not read the referral properly and appeared misinformed, they gave very little advice and certainly no help, instead concentrating on the fact that I smoke. Had I wanted to see someone with regard to smoking I would have gone to a smoking cessation clinic.

What I wanted was help with my teeth - I got none. I would not recommend Bristol Dental Hospital based on my experience. My dentist would not have referred me had there not been a need for help and due to the lack of help I got I have to go private and find a dentist who actually has an interest in addressing my particular problems.

A really disappointing experience and very unfortunate that the dentist I saw appeared to not care, I don't know if this is indicative of this hospital but it certainly was my experience. Could not recommend it to others due to my treatment.
