"Bowel Cancer Screening"

About: Bishop Auckland Hospital

I had a routine bowel screening on Friday 6 Feb at 2.30pm. I can't say it was a walk in the park but I wanted to say thank you to all the wonderful staff in the unit.

From the nurse who booked me in to the team in the treatement room (Ward 20 I think?) to the nurse who booked me out - they all treated me with great friendliness and respect.

I especially would like to theank the nurse (I assume they were a nurse) who talked to me throughout the procedure and who was funny, charming and very reassuring.

Fatntastic NHS staff, please pass on my thanks.

Thank you for providing feedback on your recent experience at Bishop Auckland Hospital and Ward 20 for your bowel screening.

I am very pleased to hear that you had a positive experience and that you are happy with the care you received.

The Trust is grateful for all feedback, positive or negative, as it means we can better understand what is important to our patients, and your very kind comments will be shared with the Sister on the ward to pass onto the staff on your behalf.

I know they will be encouraged by your positive comments.

Thank you for leaving your comments on NHS Choices.
