"My overnight stay"

About: St Michael's Hospital (Hayle)

I went in for routine shoulder operation. At visiting hours I was told I could be discharged and could go home, which was a great relief as my partner has depression and was having a really down day so I was looking forward to cheering her. Then I was told I couldn't be discharged as I had to wait for the physio to show me some bit in the morning, fair enough, my partner got a little upset but we understood. The nurses had seen me up and around all day and I was fine and if it wasn't for physio I would of been on my way home so my partner took my socks off and took me outside for some fresh air. When I came back the nurse had a go at me telling me I was stupid for going as I could of fainted. I understand their concerns but it I was fit enough to walk around, fit enough to to go home why wasn't I fit enough to go outside assisted by my partner, I felt belittled by the way they spoke tome and proceeded to give me looks until they went off shift. Later that evening I was having a private phone call with my parents who live abroaf and was told to hurry up and finish my call because a nurse had tablets to give me but I turned out they didn't. I was extremely disappointed in the way staff treated me as previous hospital trips have been well and the nurse that first saw me was really nice and we managed to have a good yarn together.
