"Problem with my appointments with Rheumatology"

Not sure how useful this will be but here goes. I feel that the appointments I have for the rheumatology clinics are all over the place. I received a letter to attend an appointment a few months back for October 2016. I then received a letter saying this was cancelled and rearranged for October 2015, which is not possible as it was then mid November 2015!

I didn't follow this up, as I received a letter to attend in Jan 2016. So I then phone to confirm my attendance at this clinic as the letter says to do so only to be told the clinic was cancelled. I was transferred to a different Dr's secretary, who told me that as I was under a different Dr's care I would not be attending this clinic. But said she would get the doctor to call me regarding my concerns over medication.

My work requires me to be driving most of the day so when the doctor calls I need to pull over then answer. 2 missed calls and 2 messages later no number left to call back on. The number called from was for a ward in Cumnock? The nurse who answered had no clue who to transfer me to. The weekend passes I then receive another letter for November 2016.

My first question is why all the rescheduled appointments, is it really necessary to reschedule appointments a year in advance? Second question does it really matter what rheumatologist I see? Third question which appointment do I attend? If I get in contact with a doctor about an issue in January then what sense does it make to send an appointment letter for 9 months later.

My reason for getting in contact was to discuss a possible change in medication regarding dermatology. This probably could be resolved by a five minute phone call. The condition I have requires me to see both doctors (psoriatic arthropathy). I really don't like sending complaint emails but I feel like things are getting out of hand. It causes tension between myself and my employer as I have to arrange days of from work to attend clinics. I think the communication as a whole seems to be low in the NHS as I'm sorry to say this isn't the first time this has happened to me. If someone could look into this it would be greatly appreciated
