What could be improved

I attended ENT today, 11.01.10, to obtain a hearing aid to replace one which I had lost. Problems arose when I came to pay for the item. It was around 1145. Through no fault of ENT I had to pay in RPH's General Office and return to ENT to collect my hearing aid before 1230. Now consider the problems I faced: I am 78 with a replacement hip. The roads were dangerously slippy. I had been advised to seek steps into the main building but due to a parked lorry I missed them and instead I wasted my footsteps by approaching a no-entrance oncology department door. Proceeding as I did along a non-griitted largely unpavemented road I finally reaced my goal. The return journey also produced difficulties. This time skirting the building on a paved path I suddenly found myself in a cul-de-sac with my forward path blocked by an excavation which I had not been advised to avoid by suitably placed notices. Happily I competed my trek without further problems and retrived my hearing aid by 1230.

Anything else?

My, and other peoples similar problems, would be simply solved ifpayment were possible in ENT
