I was taken via ambulance to the A&E suffering from nose bleeds,(18 in the last three days)
after spending 9hrs waiting, I was eventually taken up to ward 4B, I carried my own drip bag as it was attached to my arm, on arriving I sat on the bed holding the bag after 10 minutes I called for the nurse to see if they could find a drip stand, this they did but then proceeded to walk away I asked if they could remove the drip from my arm to enable me to undress. The next morning I missed breakfast & lunch because the patient who had occupied the bed before me was due for surgery and was NBM ,the sign had not been removed and as consequence I was left starving, with no apology or any sign of remorse
I was left starving. When the doctor examined me at about 1.00pm they said
I could be discharged and I just had to wait for my medication to come from the pharmacy I was told this could take up to 3hrs, tea time is at 5.00 so I would not be there all being well and declined the offer of food, the medication arrived at 6.00, when I was discharged still not having eaten
