"Lovely ward. Shame about one member of staff"

About: Leicester General Hospital

My sister was recently admitted to ward 15. She had a kidney infection and needed antibiotics and extra fluids. She has long term kidney problems, but the nurses and doctors treated her well and was allowed home after 5 days. Everyone was really lovely to us. The only thing that gave the ward a bad atmosphere was when a particular member of staff came on the ward. They looked stressed and raised their voice at junior staff. I heard them talking to some staff about others. Very unprofessional. My sister said she heard staff talking about this member of staff at times and they obviously weren't well respected by staff. Despite all this, my sister could not fault the care she had.

Dear reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comment.

We are really pleased to hear how well your sister has been cared for by our Nephrology team at the General, but sorry that one member of staff did not behave in the same manner as other members of the team. Your feedback is much appreciated and has been passed on to the team.

Kind regards,

Communications team,

Leicester's Hospitals
