"Harvest ward"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

My Father has recently spent a week in Harvest ward with a chest infection and we were very impressed with his treatment. The staff were always available to help him and also spent time with us reporting on his progress. When we had any concerns, they were quickly dealt with. For example one morning we spoke to the ward doctor about my Father's anxiety (due to his age related memory loss) and asked if he could be referred to the psychiatric team and within a couple of hours they came to see him. I have to admit that prior to his admission we had concerns about Queens due to press reports but now have full confidence in the hospital.

I’m delighted to hear from you – thank you for your comment. What I am particularly pleased about is that our staff were able to help you when you had concerns and helped to reassure your father at what must have been a very worrying time for you all. Thank you again. Yours sincerely Wendy Matthews Interim Chief Nurse
