About: Scunthorpe General Hospital

I've had my appointment for the pain clinic cancelled 3 times since November, each time I'm told the clinic has been cancelled but no one can tell me why. I'm ment to have treatment every 3/4 months and am still waiting to see consultant after last treatment in October. The doctors secretary very rarely answers their phone, even though they state their working hours on the answer phone message, and never calls you back - what is the point of haveing an answer phone? I am disgusted at the way these clinics are run and that they can just cancel clinic for over a month at a time, which is what the appointment person told me they have done. They just don't care that people are left in pain and unable to get on with their lives. Because of them I've been given an appointment for August, providing of course they don't cancel it again, and even if I can have another round of treatment I will probably still have to wait another 3 months for it. It makes me sick that they can get away with treating people like this.
