"Outpatient appointment at ARI for Shetland patient"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary NHS Shetland

(as the patient),

Recently I had to travel from Shetland to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for an out-patient investigation which cannot be done in Shetland. This involved flying down in the morning and back in the afternoon, and using the Red Cross bus to go between the airport and ARI. I would like to say how efficient and friendly everyone was: including the Patient Travel Team at NHS Shetland, the Red Cross drivers, the receptionists at ARI and Lynsey the mammographer. The service I received could not have been bettered. Thank you.

Dear Shetland patient

Many thanks for taking the time to post your feedback. It is great to hear how such a complicated journey can be arranged so well by teams working together with patients and volunteers. I hope we can deliver the same seamless journey for all our island patients.

Thank you again and we will make sure your kind words are passed on to staff.
