"Rheumatology nurse appointments"

About: Fairfield General Hospital

I suffer from a form of inflammatory arthritis which unfortunately doesn't respond to NSAIDS, having the opposite effect of making it far worse. I saw my consultant on 12/09/2014 for a 9am appointment, after having been to see my GP on 24/10/2013 to ask to be referred to him. Taking nearly 12 months, not too bad I suppose? I discussed everything fully with the consultant, and a management plan, decided by him and agreed by me, was that I could have one steroid injection per year to help me cope, 2 if needed but no more. Having been given the number to call, as at the moment I desperately need the injection, I have had one return call that I unfortunately missed as I wasn't near enough to answer the phone. How do I go about getting this injection that I so badly need now? Can someone please advise me before I have to ring my consultant!
