"The specialist was failry friendly, ..."

About: North Middlesex Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The specialist was failry friendly, other than that, nothing at all.

What could be improved

Just about everything. The nurses were rude, uncaring and bulling. The radiologist was sloppy and rude. The hospital was grimy and the paint was peeling off the walls. There were no directions given so I couldn't find my department. The outpatient system is a shambles and nothing is explained to patients. The receptionists were unhelpful and idiotic. Vulnerable patients were given no extra care or attention.

Anything else?

The whole system at North Mddx needs shaking up. The staff's attitudes to patients are simply appalling and the place is unclean, unattractive and unwelcoming. This is not a matter of the trust not having enough money, it's about attitudes and people who simply do not care.

We are sorry to hear that you felt your experience of the North Mid was a negative one. Improving the experience of our patients is the number one priority for the hospital and we will use your feedback to improve the service patients in that department receive. The patient advice and liaison service would be glad to take any further comments you wish to provide about your care and can be contacted by email at pals@nmh.nhs.uk
