My Mum spent a month here and very sadly lost her fight last week. She spent time in icu, hobbs and ward 28.From the first day she was admitted the doctors kept us informed on an almost daily basis about mums progress ,and discussed all decisions with us and made it very easy to understand everything they were telling us,they were brilliant. As for the nurses, they cared for our mum as if she was their own mum and were just brilliant with her.In the last few days of her life we couldn't have asked for more. They not only took care of mum but went above above and beyond their jobs to take care of us,her family, too. We cried with them, they provided us with food, drinks, showers,in fact anything we asked for,and didn't ask for,was brought to us and they could,nt have been nicer to mum and made sure she was comfortable and very cared for until the end,and then still made sure we were okay.I would like to say a huge thankyou to them for making such a bad experience so much easier for us by their genuine care for us all as a family, you are a very special team.
