About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

Very disjointed stay in MRI. Had surgery on my elbow - Pain Team were never called even though I had severe nerve pain, luckily saw one of them when they were visiting other patient in ward 5 days after my surgery who advised straight away the correct medication.

The doctor was very patronising and tried to send me home even though I was in agony (treated by morphine instead of the correct pain relief) believing I was exaggerating the pain, as is their Secretary who I found extremely rude and unhelpful when finally getting through via phone a week later.

On ward the staff were friendly and trying but often forgetful and not enough of them on at a given time.

I am very grateful to the surgeon for operating on me and the ward staff for caring for me. The pain team were amazing and extremely helpful and returned to review my case.

I could have been discharged on the friday but had to leave on the saturday due to a miscommunication of medication administered. This was not a good end to this service.
