"Ineffective treatment and lack of care"

I have been diagnosed with Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and after 18 weeks of agony and fluid build up in my ears, 3 of which were taken off work due to the significant amount of pain I was in and 4 of which were dependent on Tramadol to get through the day. I feel like the treatment I received was ineffective. I was made to feel as if my health requirements were not taken seriously and was told to "continue taking Tramadol when I was in pain" but would not be receiving the surgery I needed to equalize pressure in my ears. I was told by the specialist I required grommets however funding was denied twice. I was told it wouldn't be too expensive to pay privately. When quoted for private treatment I was quoted £2195 for the surgery and £150 for the consultation. Not at all affordable! Because of this I still have pain in my ears as I cannot equalize pressure, driving up hills too fast is agonizing, so forget about lifts or flying. So underwhelmed with the service I received and the treatment I was offered resulted in the condition worsening. Feel very let down by this health care service.
