‘Thankyou’ is a simple word but it comes with heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the skill and professionalism of the staff. All of the staff demonstrated a total commitment to caring and I really appreciate everything that has been done for me------no amount of money could have paid for a better standard of care. I could not have asked for more and I am grateful for the courtesy, patience and kindness of the staff.
Letters were received on time clearly indicating appointment times and instructions were clear. I found the DVD that was providing giving information about the radiography department at the Weston Park Hospital particularly helpful in alleviating fears of the unknown. I was provided with a great deal of written material which proved to be very informative and useful.
I was delighted that, for the vast majority of appointments I did not have to wait very long and, in some instances, I was seen earlier than the appointed time.
Staff were courteous and I was treated with dignity and respect. I loved the idea of having a bell for patients to ring when their treatment was finished! I rang it so loudly that it could probably have been heard throughout Sheffield. One suggestion that you may wish to consider when you are replacing the hospital gowns is to not use blue and white striped gowns-----unfortunately, they make you look and feel like someone in a prison camp. When you are reordering stock perhaps you should consider just short gowns in blue or green.
In conclusion, I want to thank every member of staff. The treatment that I have received could not have been better and I am extremely grateful for such exceptional service.
Would I recommend the Weston Park Hospital?---------a definitive yes.
