To cut a long story short, I attended WH for a 1st trimester scan and blood test on November 11th 2015.
The Phlebotomist who took my blood did not take the correct forms out of my notes and both results for the 2 tests never came back.
I recall that the Phlebotomist was rude and abrupt at the time of taking the bloods but thought they might be stressed out (but even then they are not supposed to treat patients in that manner).
It transpired that the tests for Downs that had to be retaken in the second trimester, came back as high risk and caused us a lot of stress and worry over the Christmas period.
We had a private blood test and the results came back negative.
Had the bloods been tested in the first trimester we have been told it is very likely that the result would never have been high risk.
I have just had the second test retaken at the Royal Victoria in Folkestone (who have always been wonderful) for the iron result that went missing (2 months later).
I should have known about my iron levels much sooner as I have a low lying placenta.
I feel I was very badly treated and I have made an official complaint.
I will not attend the bloods clinic there again if I can avoid it.
Patients beware!
