"Tongue tie my baby daughter"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

My daughter was seen at the tongue tie clinic on the 14th October 2015 when we were seen my the nurse we were told that my daughter did have a tongue tie however the nurse stated she wasn't comfortable in doing the procedure as my daughter was feeding fine and she didn't believe in doing it for potential speech problems. (We did not mind this) however since my daughter has started solids the problem is a lot more noticeable and she is not able to wean effectively. I went to my GP to be referred again however there was no documentation from Sunderland Royal that my daughter was ever seen there. My GP sent a letter to Sunderland to ask for information before they asked for us to be reviewed, 2 days later I got a phone call from the nurse who seen us at the clinic asking what happened at the appointment and if she had completed the procedure (very unprofessional there should be notes on this) I then told the nurse she didn't do the procedure as my daughter was putting on weight. I then had a phone call off my GP the following week saying the nurse had sent him a letter to say that she didn't diagnose tongue tie. I am disgusted as the nurse did diagnos this and I even said on the phone so I don't see why the nurse would say this to the GP! I am also disgusted that she had to phone me to basically ask what happened at the appointment there should be records of this. We are now being referred to the QE in Gateshead.
