"My son's short stay"

About: Langley Green Hospital

My son was admitted to LG hospital 5/6th January 16. He has been threatening suicide and self harming, constantly in trouble with the police, homeless and suffering mental health issues for some time.

I have been trying to get him help for years.

LG discharged my son at 5 pm a week later, straight back onto the streets, no ongoing help with his illness, no support, just back on the streets. My son ended up in a&e after taking a glass to his arms. Crisis team have written a supporting letter for him to take to council but with no luck, they just don't want to know, it states that he needs a stable environment to be able to get the help he needs, he is my son but he frightens me and I'm not trained to deal with him.

Why is it that our young people are not getting the help they so need, why are our young people left to live on the streets?

He clearly needs help, i know that one day i will get a call to say that my son is dead.

Turned away yet again from the help he needs
